Our Story

It was in September 2010 when a good friend of mine suggested that we climb Mt. Pulag! The group Trail Adventours has been organizing climbs and they have a scheduled trip to Mt. Pulag the following month of October! So my friend and me registered with Trail and the next thing I know, we were at the Victory Liner bus station in Pasay around half past eight in the evening of October 15.
My parents knew nothing about my joining the climb! I was worried about keeping it from them but I knew I had to, otherwise, I wouldn't have gone. And at the time, I really thought I owe it to myself to give it a try! And it paid off! The climb to Mt. Pulag has not only been amazing... It has been life-changing! hehe!:)

It was my first time to climb then. I didn't attend the pre-climb meeting so I really had no idea.:) Upon arriving at the bus station though, we saw Trail immediately and then joined the group. And while waiting for our bus ( scheduled to leave at 10 or 11, I think), a boy asked me if he could borrow my pen. It was when he returned my pen when I got to confirm that he's part of our group! (Yeyyy!) And so that was our first encounter followed by so many nice and funny encounters during the entire climb! The boy isn't only cute... he struck me as one of the nicest people in the group. I don't easily warm up with people but he's one of the very few exceptions. I only got to know his name "Jay" on our way back to Baguio. But he sure does know mine as he calls me "ate leslie" all the time! haha!:)

And that's how our story started.

It was only a few days after the climb when we jumped into this whole relationship thing... it was something I never had to think about so hard. It all happened spontaneously. No doubt. No questions. I just know. We just know. It's one of the best if not the best decision I've made in years and everyday, our story still amazes me.

I really think that ours is a relationship very much like a climb to Mt. Pulag. Yes, there certainly are uphills and steep portions of the mountain... but there are the cool breeze, the clean air, the sunrise, the summit, and best of all -- the sea of clouds!:D
