Thank you, 2012!!!

What a year that was!!! We could think of a lot of beautiful things 2012 has brought us but this definitely tops our list!!!

Thank you Lord for the beautiful year that was! To all our friends and family who have been part of our new adventure, big thanks to you guys! We love you big time! All year round has been a constant reminder of how much we are loved by people most important to us and we're just very thankful and very happy!!!

Thank you, 2012! Hello 2013!!! God bless us all as we face our new adventures this new year!!! Let's keep the faith, remain hopeful, and stay in love with life and everything it has in store for us!!!

On the Last few weeks before "We Do!"

We've started preparing for the wedding about a year before our chosen date and here we are, down to the last few weeks before the wedding, and still in the middle of our crazy preps!:) Hehe! :)

Tama nga sila, no matter how early you start in your preparations, the bulk of the activities are in the last three months before the wedding... it's going to be an amazing roller coaster ride and you'll surely enjoy every second of it... yes, even the stresses - because it's all part of the details and it sure makes the preparations more exciting!:D

Ito na nga siguro 'yung uri ng pagod na hindi naman talaga nakakapagod 'cause you really don't get tired doing what you love to do, right? You'll never run out of energy and you'd be surprised how much amount of energy you can give pala for something that you love to do!!!:D

The whole wedding preparations is a bonding activity for both of us. We got to go to different places, talk to so many people together, and discuss a lot of decisions, from the biggest to the minutest details... we also got to learn new things about each other and realized how different and how similar we both are in so many ways.

And all these wedding preparations... it made me realize more how much I want to marry this person I'll be standing with in front of the altar a few weeks from now.:) It's our exchange of vows and commitment that will make that day everything we want it to be -- beautiful... and perfect.:)

Happy 2nd Anniversary, Mt. Pulag!

Happy 2nd year Anniversary!

Around this time, quarter past 3 in the afternoon exactly two years ago, we climbed the beautiful, the breath-taking Mt. Pulag. Taking the Ambangeg-Ambangeg route, we stated our climb and left the Ranger Station at around 1pm and eventually reached Camp Site 2 at around 4-5 in the afternoon. We started the trek to the summit at 3:30 in the morning on October 17 and we were blessed with a very fine weather, a magnificent sunrise, and a wonderful sea of clouds!!!

It was my first climb! Definitely unforgettable! Happy Anniversary, Mt. Pulag!!! :)

Jayjay and Leslie's Wacky Prenup Photoshoot!!!:)

These are some of our photos during the prenup photoshoot we had with DB Phos last August 28! As you can see, both of us were just laughing the whole time... I bet there were lots of times when we made it difficult for Racken and Paolo to have the poses they would have wanted from us (hehehe... sorry and thanks for the patience!!!) But we did enjoy every second of the prenup photoshoot and we love it how it showed in the photos! Thank you DB Phos! )

Pre-Cana Seminar at the OLCP

The Pre-Cana Seminar or sometimes called as the Engaged Encounter Seminar is one of the requirements for Catholic weddings in the Philippines. During these seminars, the couples will have the chance to listen to resource speakers who will talk about the wedding vows, the married life, and the sacrament of Marriage, among other things.

We had our Pre-Cana Seminar last August 18 at the OLCP and we sure learned a lot from the experiences shared by our 3 resource couples who shared with us practical tips about relationships with your husband/wife, in-laws, and how to deal with issues often encountered by married couples.

The Seminar lasted for about three hours! Thanks to six speakers who made the Seminar very interesting and fun for all of us!.:)

Jayjay's Kumpil: Check na Check :)

One of the church requirements for marriage is the couple's certificates of confirmation. Since we are in that period in the wedding preps when we try to complete all our documentary requirements, we looked for a church right away for Jayjay's kumpil!

Thanks to "sleeplesslass" blogsite, we were able to learn about the National Shrine of St. Michael the Archangel in Malacanang. I think the church is very popular to soon-to-wed couples because of their regular Kumpil ceremonies.:) They have regular confirmation ceremonies every Thursday and Sunday. Confirmation fee is PhP600.00 and certificates are given right after the ceremony.

There's a Little Venus Spot in the Sun Today!

Yes, this entry isn't about any of our wedding preparations at all but we are doing a blogpost about this one of the rarest event in our history happening at a time when we are preparing for the wedding (hehehe...) -- the Venus Transit!!!:D

I've been waiting for this event patiently, eagerly, and excitedly as soon as I got an invite from the Philippine Astronomical Society (PAS)! I even came a day in advance at the Manila Observatory when I mistakenly thought that June 6 is Tuesday, hehe.:D On the day itself, Jayjay, together with one of our good friends, Mae Labucay (with Garfield) came with me (and Chandlerpopoyli) to witness the event and being able to see Venus crossing the Sun is just too amazing-- as something you could only see in Science books now appears before your very eyes!:D

Special thanks to PAS members for being so kind to explain to us the event and for letting us use their telescopes and gadgets!:D I love astronomy and I promise to pursue the love for this Science starting today!!!:D Yeahoo!!!

The Sierra Madre Adventure!:D

We are actually looking for a nice spot for our prenup photo shoot and one of the locations we considered was Sierra Madre Country Club!  Sierra Madre Country Club is located at KM 58 Marcos Highway, Mayagay, Tanay, Rizal!

Well, what can we say... hmmmm... SMCC is nice and really quiet. It's a pretty big location and one could use a map to know where to go. And while we we're not able to check out the whole place, there are lots of spots for sure that are great for photo shoots! We never expected though that we'd have to drive that far to get there! hehe!:) But it turned out to be a very fun adventure yesterday!:)

So is this the place for prenup?!? Well, we don't know yet!!!

I wonder where our next search will be?:D This is getting more and more exciting for us, really!!!:) And for all the love and support, special thanks to our friends and family!!!:D

Let's Get Physical! Jayjay and Leslie Join the Maynilad 3K Health Run!

They both love sports! Yes! Jayjay loves playing badminton while Leslie loves watching tennis! Jayjay loves to run while Leslie loves cheering and taking photos of him while running!:) Haha!:)

But then as part of their bonding sessions and preparations for the wedding, both Jayjay and Leslie joined the 3K Maynilad Health Run held in La Mesa Eco Park in Quezon City! It's Leslie's first time to join an event and their first time to run together!!!:) So yes, they do get physical!!!:D
